SOLDER WICK #444 FINE BRAID

We have had this solder braid custom made to our specification direct from a leading manafacturer in China, We use a lot of this in our own workshop and having tried many different brands we had this produced from a much finer wire than most others, it is also impregnated with MG Chemicals flux for more superior absorbtion.

We only sell one width 3.5mm that is suitable for most applications, it comes in 1.5 metre lengths. We also encourage the use of additional flux to make the braid work better for you.

HOW TO USE 1. Place the desoldering wick over the solder to be removed, then push the heated soldering iron tip onto the desoldering wick. The solder will be absorbed. 2. Remove the desoldering wick after the solder has been absorbed. 3. Cut off the used section of the wick using nippers. 4. Repeat steps 1,2 and 3 if the solder is not removed completely. Absorbability may differ depending on the type of solder.
